Set up your wallet.
SolarCoin operates on two networks: kSLR on the Base network (the primary token going forward) and SLR on Energy Web Chain (the traditional network). Both are accessible with any Ethereum-compatible wallet such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or Coinbase Wallet.

Easiest option
You don’t need a wallet to claim.
Most people start without one. Create a free account at the Claims Portal and your rewards are tracked in a managed account (an “omnibus” placeholder) — SolarCoin never holds your tokens. Set up your own wallet whenever you’re ready and move them across. A wallet is optional, not required.
Prefer to hold your own keys? Set up a wallet below, then use the one-click button to add the Base network and the kSLR token automatically.
Add kSLR to your wallet in one click.
Already have MetaMask or another browser wallet? This adds the Base network and imports the kSLR token for you.
SolarCoin networks.
SolarCoin tokens live on two blockchain networks. New rewards are issued as kSLR on Base; legacy SLR remains viewable on Energy Web Chain.
Primary Network
kSLR on Base
The next-generation SolarCoin token. You earn 1 kSLR per kilowatt-hour of solar energy produced. All new rewards are issued on Base, Coinbase’s Ethereum L2 network. Low fees, fast transactions, and broad wallet compatibility.
Contract address: 0x7Aa7CB583084DeFc43cc0c2e95213ce364a8df9C
Chain ID: 8453
Legacy Network
SLR on Energy Web Chain
The original SolarCoin token on Energy Web Chain. A snapshot was taken on May 15, 2026. Existing holders can now claim their kSLR on Base — you have one year, until May 15, 2027, to do so. Legacy SLR remains viewable and tradable on Energy Web Chain, but the Foundation no longer issues or transacts old SLR.
Network: Energy Web Chain

Your wallet on every device.
MetaMask supports both Base and Energy Web Chain. Access your SolarCoins from your desktop, laptop, or phone.
Getting started with MetaMask.
1.
Download MetaMask
Visit metamask.io and install the browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. You can also download the mobile app for iOS or Android.

2.
Create or import a wallet
Follow the setup wizard to create a new wallet. Write down your 12-word seed phrase and store it in a safe place. Never share it with anyone.

3.
Add the SolarCoin token
Switch MetaMask to the Base network (built in by default), click “Import tokens,” and paste the kSLR contract address: 0x7Aa7CB583084DeFc43cc0c2e95213ce364a8df9C. The symbol and decimals will auto-fill. For legacy SLR, add Energy Web Chain as a custom network (Chain ID 246, RPC: https://rpc.energyweb.org).

4.
Register your solar installation
Head to the Claims Portal, connect your wallet, and submit your solar installation details. Once verified, kSLR is deposited directly into your wallet — including any balance from your pre-migration SLR, ready to claim now.
